PENDAHULUAN
BGP (Border
Gateway Protokol) adalah merupakan salah satu jenis routing protokol yang
digunakan untuk koneksi antar Autonomous System (AS), dan salah satu jenis
routing protokol yang banyak digunakan oleh ISP besar ataupun untuk perbankan.
BGP termasuk dalam kategori routing protokol jenis Exterior Gateway Protokol (EGP). Dengan
adanya EGP, router dapat melakukan pertukaran rute dari dan ke luar jaringan
lokal Auotonomous System (AS). BGP mempunyai skalabilitas yang tinggi karena
dapat melayani pertukaran routing pada beberapa organisasi besar. Oleh karena
itu BGP dikenal dengan routing protokol yang sangat rumit dan kompleks.
Kelebihan dari BGP ini yaitu
sangat sederhana dalam instalasi dan kekurangannya yaitu sangat minim untuk
dikembangkan di dalam topologi.
II.
TUJUAN
Untuk memenuhi
Tugas Akhir Semester Genap TKJ.12, saya memposting materi BGP dan bagaimana melakukan konfigurasi Router BGP menggunakan
simulasi Cisco Packet Tracer.
Tujuan pembuatan simulasi
konfigurasi BGP (Border Gateway Protokol) pada Cisco Packet Tracer adalah untuk
menunjukkan salah satu konfigurasi jaringan yang sudah kita ketahui, tapi masih
banyak cara konfigurasi jaringan lainnya, tapi yang di bahas saat ini adalah
BGP (Border Gateway Protokol) dan agar
siswa bisa melakukan setting yang sebenarnya setelah belajar simulasi di Packet
Tracer.

LANGKAH-LANGKAH KONFIGURASI ROUTER BGP
1. Buka Aplikasi Cisco Packet Tracer
2. Pilihlah atau tempatkan 3 router
dengan type 1841, seperti gambar dibawah ini:

kabel Cross-Over untuk menghubungkan router dengan router.

Terakhir, lakukan pengecekan untuk mengetahui
apakah sudah terkoneksi apa belum, maka untuk itu lakukan pengecekan
dengan tes ping dari PC 0 dan PC 1.
